आदिवासी कोळी,ढोर,टोकरे कोळी, डोंगर कोळी,कोळी महादेव, कोळी मल्हार, ठाकूर भिल्ल, कोकणा, कोकणी,पावरा,वसावे, पारधी, गावित मावची,पाडवी,कातकरी,वारली,गोंड या आदिवासी जमातीत वाघबारस व सर्वपित्री अमावस्या हे मुख्य सण समजले जातात.वाघबारस (वसुबारस) हा सण दिवाळी आदि दोन तीन दिवस गुराख्याच्या मदतीने साजरा करतात. माणसासारखी शिकार करणारा जंगलातील सर्व शक्तिमान प्राणी वाघ त्याच्या सामर्थ्याचे प्रतीक म्हणून गावाच्या वेशीवर, वडाच्या किंवा पिंपळाच्या झाडाखाली वाघदेवाची स्थापना केलेली असते. आपल्या गावाचे, शेतीचे पीकपाणी, गाय, बैल, शेळी, मेंढी यांचे रक्षण करावे या समजूतीने आदिवासी लोक वाघ देवतेची पूजा करतात. या ग्रामदैवताची पूजा विधी भगत करीत असतो. आपल्या गोवत्सबारस या सारखा हा सण आहे.*
*या आदिवासींचे सण भाद्रपद व चैत्रात येतात ते सुपलीकरणाशी जोडलेली असतात. ते भुतेखेते मानतात. भूताखेताबाबत तसेच सणवार आधीच्या कार्यात भगत यांना मार्गदर्शन करीत असतो. वाघदेवता ही आदिवासींची नवस देवताही आहे. देवाभोवती दारू शिंपडतात. वाघबारच्या दिवशी प्रत्येक जण मटणाचा नैवेद्य वाजत गाजत गावाबाहेर वाघदेवतेस अर्पण करतात. हा सण गावोगावी/पाड्या पाड्यात थाटामाटात व वाजत गाजत साजरा करतात. या सणाच्या वेळी लहान मुले वाघ, कोल्हा, लांडगा, आधीची सोंगे करतात. गावातील /पाड्यातील तरुण मंडळी एकत्र येऊन अंगावर वाघासारखी चित्रे काढून नाच करतात. लहान मुलांना जेवण दिले जाते. भजन व नाचण्याशिवाय लेझीम व डाव सुद्धा केले जातात. काही ठिकाणी तमाशा आदींचे मनोरंजनाचे कार्यक्रम घेतात. बकरेषट्टी हा सण सुद्धा साजरा करतात. या सणात बकरे कापून नात्यागोत्याच्या लोकांना जेवण दिले जाते. दिवाळीला पांढऱ्या मातीने भिंती पोतारून,कुडे सार वून घेतात. मुली गवताच्या काड्यांपासून दिवाळी तयार करतात व दारोदारी दिवाळी मागायला जातात.*
